New filter should make sustainable consumption easier

From now on Amazon users in Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy and Spain can restrict their product search with the attribute "Climate Pledge Friendly". This gives consumers the opportunity to shop sustainably in a targeted manner.

The "Climate Pledge Friendly" seal identifies products that "have at least one of 19 different sustainability certifications and contribute to preserving a natural environment, for example by reducing the carbon footprint of customer deliveries," it says in the release of the Group.

At the start, around 40.000 products with a seal from the fields of cosmetics, fashion, food, household, office and electrical appliances are available. However, these also include brands that are repeatedly confronted with the accusation Greenwashing to operate. I do not know whether or when the labeling will be available in Austria.
