                                                       "I, the panda"

I wake up, look at my arms and see from the colors of my fur that I am a panda. Slowly, with tired eyes, I get up and look at the surroundings around me. At the sight of it, I become numb with shock. Because I only see rotten and cleared trees all around. The smell of my beloved eucalyptus trees has disappeared from the surface of the earth. I no longer hear the wonderful song of the birds and the flowing of the water. Also all the noises of the insects and all the other animals can no longer be heard far and wide. I almost start crying because I'm just thinking who is responsible for all of this and who can do something so terrible.

Completely unexpectedly, I hear a faint noise out of nowhere. It's the growling of my stomach because I'm hungry. Still crying, I slowly go looking for food, because I know that I have to eat most of the day to get full. I've been going for a while and still haven't found a single eucalyptus tree. But suddenly I hear a faint roar. I desperately try to recognize where the roar is coming from and there I see it, it's a little panda under a big rotten tree. I run over to him and tell him that I want to help him and that he should calm down. While he calms down, I manage to roll the big rotten tree onto its side. The little panda thanks me, but unfortunately he also tells me that he has lost his family. He didn't know how, because his mother told him to hide behind a bush. Then he heard a very loud, unnatural noise and saw the tree crash on him. Unfortunately, he can't remember anything more. I decide to ask the little panda if he wants to come with me. With tears of joy, the little panda answered yes to my question.

So I go looking for food with the little panda. But suddenly we hear a noise that gets louder and louder. When the noise stops, a strange tin box stands in front of us. Four figures climb out of this box on two legs. You notice that me and the little panda are very starved and weak. Completely unexpectedly and with quick movements hold me and him

little panda three of the figures on the ground. As we try to free ourselves, the fourth figure takes a sharp metal needle from a suitcase. Then the fourth figure approaches the little panda and sticks the needle into his skin. The little panda slowly calms down, closes his eyes and doesn't open them again. When I realize that the little panda is no longer alive, the fourth figure comes up to me and before he sticks the needle into my skin, I wake up in shock. It was all just a nightmare.

I realize that I am now myself again, the boy who lives in the year 2087. So I get up from my bed and go to the dining room to have breakfast. Then I see my father and tell him about the nightmare. Then my father says that it was really a terrible dream and stresses with sorrow that it is really a shame that the pandas are extinct. I answer that it is a shame that humanity does not recognize in time that nature and animals must be treated and protected with respect.
