Re-Use Austria
RepaNet continues to develop - this is clearly shown in the annual review of the re-use and repair network in Austria. What happened in 2021 and how much within the twelve months could be moved is reviewed in the recently published RepaNet activity report.
Circular economy is becoming more and more present in public and political discourse. This also has a strong impact on the work of RepaNet and repeatedly opens up new possibilities and opportunities for the representation of interests of socio-economic re-use companies to engage constructively in the spirit of RepaNet vision bring in 2021 means a big leap for the RepaNet team in terms of team size: The team has grown to 16 people working in Vienna and Graz as a result of the "Donation Hub" funding project. At the end of the year, RepaNet also had 39 members and 19 sponsoring members. The year 2021 is characterized by intensive exchange and cooperation in RepaNet internal working groups (AG recycling economy, AG textiles) as well as the preparation and implementation of projects. The project, funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs, was launched in 2021 In-kind donation hub, in which RepaNet develops the online marketplace WIDADO. Another highlight is the launch of the Repair Café insurance from Helvetia Austria. And also at Construction carousel, sachspender.at, Let'sFIXit, AG raw materials, SDG Watch Austria and Right to Repair Europe there are exciting developments to report. Furthermore, innovations in the political field are considered (AWG amendment, nationwide repair bonus). At the European level, cooperation with REUSE 2021 continued in an established good manner.
