Majority wants climate sinners to finally pay

For the “Energy Trend Monitor 2021” of a building technology manufacturer, 1.000 Austrians were interviewed on the subject of the energy transition in a representative manner.

The results:

  • 60 percent of Austrians would rather ask those who cause climate-damaging CO2 emissions to pay for it sooner rather than later.
  • The majority are concerned that in the face of climate change, greenhouse gas emissions will not become chargeable quickly enough.
  • 82 percent are concerned that environmental damage will be averted too late for future generations.
