New luxury editorial by Helmut Melzer

Dress warmly. It can get cold. If you want to keep warm this winter, you may have to pay 50 Euro. The reason for this has certainly not escaped you: the valid in Austria anti-facial coating law. Even though the arguments for that are integration and women's rights, in my view the law serves one purpose above all else: the subjective security against "terror". What does that have to do with luxury? For me, the prohibition of veiling is an example of the biggest problem of the future: the abandonment of our freedom in the hope of security.

Scene Change: The Danes are happiest, notes the current Social Progress Index. In option, we followed up, and have to realize: So many differences between Austria and Denmark, there is not. But one thing is essential: in Denmark, 70 percent of respondents say that most people can be trusted, in the rest of the world it's only 30 percent. Perhaps that is the reason why an Austria without the incidents of terrorism to avoid symptoms prohibits the obfuscation, and does not campaign for the elimination of the cause - a failed, imperialist world politics.

Freedom is not a matter of course against any mistaken belief. Just as human rights, a high-quality health system, state pension, social benefits or housing subsidies. These are bloody achievements. What has required centuries of political struggle can be a thing of the past tomorrow.
If we are not careful, it can get cold. And that has nothing to do with the season.
