Marinel organized the first climate strike in her country. She advocates a ban on single-use plastic and a reduction
CO2 emissions and investments in renewable energy.
“I simply cannot accept that our people in the Philippines are dying because of a phenomenon – the climate crisis
we didn't even cause it. For me – this is my “why” – to create an environment in which future generations can grow and thrive
live their lives. Make the polluter pay for IS climate justice. It's about holding polluters accountable, liable and paying
Reparations.”
