60 minutes of fascinating nature photography at the highest level, plus stories and live conversations about nature, photography and the environment.

In over 30 years of adventure and nature photography, Markus Mauthe has witnessed global changes. He has been supporting Greenpeace and various campaigns for around 20 years. With his professional know-how - the nature photography - he shows in every episode of the series “The world in view” the beauty of individual natural landscapes and why it is worth fighting to save them. One conversation partner is switched on live, in the next 3 episodes master of nature photography

You belong to the top of nature photographers and know ecological relationships like no other. You can look forward to entertaining and exciting expert knowledge from people who spend a large part of their lives with their cameras outside in nature. In the first part of the Greenpeace online series “Master of Nature Photography”, the “environmental activist with the camera”, as Markus Mauthe calls himself, invited the animal photographer Ingo Arndt. The photos of this outstanding and multiple award-winning nature photographer are published by magazines such as National Geographic, Geo, Stern and BBC Wildlife. In his latest book on honey bees, he shows sensational photos of this wild bee species. An interesting aspect to have a conversation with Markus about the fascination of animal photography, but also the extinction of species. In contrast to scientific motivation to finally demand changes in our behavior, the arguments of these interlocutors arise from an extreme passion for nature and a pronounced sense of nature. Because through their precise long-term observations of the various animal species and natural spaces, they can give us an exact picture of the state of our earth.

Get involved and ask questions via the chat, which will be answered by Markus Mauthe afterwards.

“By passing on my experiences and getting people excited about nature through my photographs, I hope that they will work to protect the environment. I realize that not everyone can change everything at once, but if we all start to rethink our own way of life and its consequences, a lot has already been done! "

The series “The world at a glance” usually takes place every 4 weeks. Now there are 3 special programs with the masters of nature photography.
