Electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets and the like have long been mass-produced. However, the effects of the electronics supply chain on people and the environment are difficult to grasp. After all, the devices consist of numerous raw materials and individual parts.
The graphic below now clearly shows the life cycle of electronic devices and the social and ecological effects. It was developed in a cooperation of several NGOs, including Make ICT Fair, Südwind and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Rohstoffe.
