Expert interview with Micha Pallesche and René Danz

Micha Pallesche is the rector of the Ernst Reuter Comprehensive School in Karlsruhe, which was recognized as the first Smart School in Baden-Württemberg in 2017 due to its high media education profile. Mr Pallesche has been doing his doctorate at the University of Education in Heidelberg since 2012 and is developing media concepts for schools with other teachers.

René Danz is group leader in the work area “Global Development in Schools” at Engagement Global in Bonn and has been working intensively on open educational materials in the context of education for sustainable development for several years.

In our expert interview, the two talk to Katarina Roncevic from the Greenpeace education team about the opportunities of digital teaching and learning for education for sustainable development, about challenges in the context of digital transformation and why the lockdown can be a great opportunity to transform processes of change To initiate schools: Away from a "system of fear" to a system in which mistakes are allowed and are not generally assessed negatively.
