The Brazilian Pantanal is the largest inland wetland in the world and is particularly rich in species. π±π More than 650 species of birds live in this unique habitat. It is a sanctuary for many endangered mammals, including the giant otter, jaguar and tapir. πππ¦
But the wetland is being destroyed by fires: in 2020 the fires reached a sad climax, 30% of the natural area was destroyed. Countless wild animals could not escape the flames. That's a catastrophe! π€¬ The majority of fires come from human hands. Space should be made for more cattle pastures.
In order to prevent the fires, meat production must also be reduced. The EU-Mercosur trade agreement will, however, increase meat production. A scandal. Talk to us against the agreement: ππ» https://act.gp/39hymI4
