What a powerful climate action weekend! 💪💚🌎
Until here and no further! With a kilometer-long human chain, we marked the 2.500 degree limit on Saturday with around 1,5 protesters at the Garzweiler open-cast lignite mine. This is where the coal excavators have to stop! This is the only way we can keep to the 1,5 degree limit.
Despite catastrophic climatic floods, droughts and forest fires, NRW Prime Minister and CDU leader Armin Laschet continues to rely on coal and continues to fuel the climate crisis. He even wants to have entire villages destroyed for open-cast mines!
With our campaign we have set a strong example for better climate protection!
