How important is sustainability for the Austrians in the area of housing and how important is it when deciding to buy or rent a new property? This was the finding of ImmobilienScout24 in a current integral trend survey among 500 Austrians.
The results:
- Already every second person feels that their living quality is affected by climate change.
- Two out of three Austrians consider sustainable living to be important.
- For a third, sustainable building and living, lower energy consumption and conservation of resources in the construction and operation of apartments and houses even have top priority.
Sustainability is a top purchase criterion
The broadcast also says: “Around a quarter of Austrians plan to rent or buy a new apartment in the next two years. For this group, the topic of sustainability has a very strong influence on the decision to buy a property.
