Solar refrigerators as secret health stars! ⭐
In countries with a weak infrastructure, such as Ethiopia, when it comes to vaccinations, the focus is often not on “whether” but “how”. How do you manage to bring vaccinations to families in remote areas where the few health posts are often just simple huts made of clay? How do you maintain cold chains so that the vaccinations do not lose their effectiveness? 💉
In order to make the proper storage of vaccines and other medicines possible in the first place, our colleagues in Ethiopia have made it their business to equip as many health stations as possible with solar refrigerators. In addition, the employees of health authorities are also trained in handling vaccines and drugs. 👨🏿⚕ 👩🏿⚕
These measures enable the families in our project areas to protect their health. It makes a real difference in people's lives!
