Potato gratin with wild garlic

This recipe can be prepared either vegetarian or with bacon cubes and is very simple.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 250 ml whipped cream
  • 250 ml of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 to 2 bunches of wild garlic
  • 80 g bacon
  • Approx. 100 g grated cheese
  • nutmeg
  • Salt
  • pepper

Preparation:

Peel and boil the potatoes, then cut into slices. Chop the wild garlic into small pieces. Cut the bacon into cubes and roast. In a bowl, mix the potatoes with wild garlic and cooled bacon cubes.

Whisk whipped cream and milk with the eggs, season to taste with nutmeg, salt and pepper and mix in a little cheese. Stir this mixture into the bowl with the potatoes.

Pour the potato mixture into a baking pan and cover with the remaining cheese. For about 45 minutes at 200 degrees in the oven.

Vegetarians simply leave out the bacon.

Good succeed!
