In this episode, Jane talks to environmental lawyer Kassie Siegel about California's dirty secret: massive oil production. They discuss how the oil industry is undermining California's progress in climate change and poisoning the air we breathe and the water we drink - and what Governor Gavin Newsom must do to stop pollution.

Kassie Siegel is an environmental lawyer and director of the Climate Law Institute of the Center for Biological Diversity. She has spent her entire career in the new area of climate law, from the George W. Bush administration protecting the polar bear under the Endangered Species Act due to global warming, to dozens of lawsuits aimed at extracting fossil fuels to stop.
