16.-22.September: European Mobility Weekly Motto "Go with me!"

The focus of the largest Clean Mobility Campaign is on walking.

Through 500 municipalities and cities from all over Austria take part in the European Mobility Week every year. Among the world's 54 countries, most promotions took place in Austria. Also this year there will be a week of mobility festivals, ticket promotions and many opportunities to experience the benefits of mobility of the future today ", invites the Federal Minister for Sustainability and Tourism, Maria Patek, to participate. 

Gehmit Proposals for Action

In line with this year's focus on walking, five action proposals have been prepared. Elke Sumper, Climate Week Mobility Week Coordinator: "Each proposal includes a brief description, a list of materials, a checklist and a best practice example. The actions are easy to implement, can be combined and are ideal for local media coverage. " 

The five action proposals range from the GEHschenke distribution campaign to the street painting campaign Schön GEHmalt, the packaging campaign "GEH, lass'des Auto stehn", the walk "GEHspräche" to the GEH competition "GEHwinn".

GEH Competition "GEHwinn"

Walking distances are usually overestimated. With the "GEHwinn" competition, communities and cities can advertise for walking. Citizens enter their paths in collective passports, which can be ordered or downloaded from the Climate Alliance.

Regional train day and car free day

European Mobility Week is an 2002 initiative launched by the European Commission and is hosted by 16 every year. until 22.September. This is organized by the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism together with the Climate Alliance Austria. On the 21. September this year, the Regionalbahntag takes place, in which the services of the regional railways are brought to the fore. The completion of the Mobility Week is on 22.
