Another result: Austrian specialists earn an average of around 44.000 euros gross per year - across the country and across all industries. And: academics earn up to € 9.000 more than their colleagues without a degree.
They are industry winners Pharmaceutical industry and medical technology with around 56.000 or 55.000 euros gross per year.
The areas Consulting, management and real estate with gross annual salaries of more than 50.000 euros each, are also among the highest paid occupational fields.
Im Insurance area for example, it is 49.000 euros.
While so-called systemically relevant professions in Health services and in the Retail (39.000 or 38.000 euros annually) are far behind.
Employees in the Hotel industry (around 38.000 euros annually) and the Textile industry (around 32.000 euros annually) are at the end of the scale.
For the Austrian salary report, the salaries of around 2020 specialists and managers across Austria were analyzed in spring 6.000. The results are based on employees' self-disclosures in the salary calculator www.stepstone.at in the period from January to December 2019. All salary data are given in euros and refer to the average salary including bonuses, commissions, bonuses etc.
