Release of sambar deer in Thailand
In the summer of 2021, WWF and partners released ten sambar deer in Mae Wong National Park. It is the first in a series of releases as hundreds of the rare tropical deer are still needed here. Because they not only enrich the ecosystem and keep the vegetation of the jungle in balance.
