After the energy giant RWE, the Düsseldorf energy group Uniper is now taking legal action against the coal phase-out in the Netherlands. The Düsseldorf-based energy company is resisting the fact that it should shut down a coal-fired power plant that was built a few years ago prematurely without compensation. It is about the Maasvlakte 3 facility near Rotterdam, which has been on the grid since 2016.
