What about health care in our projects?

What about health care in our project regions? As you can imagine, this is hardly available in the remote areas of Ethiopia. Statistically speaking, a doctor in Ethiopia cares for over 10.000 people (in Austria the figure is around 1: 200) - however, most doctors work in the cities. That is why it is so important to improve care, especially in remote communities. For example, through the basic equipment of health posts or through the construction of health centers such as the one in Sombo Walliso, which was built in 2019 and will in future be the first point of contact for health issues for over 20.000 residents. Here you can see colleague Wondiye having an eye exam in Sombo Walliso three weeks ago. He and colleague Berhanu are responsible for planning and implementing health projects in two project regions.
