15-year-old Janna lives in the Israel-occupied West Bank.
Life under systematic discrimination is anything but normal.
When Janna was seven years old, the Israeli military killed her uncle.
Janna used her mother's phone to record the tapes and the

of the youngest journalists in the world and documented the
The oppressive and often fatal treatment of the Israeli army
Palestinians.

This includes night raids, the demolition of houses and schools,
and devastating communities who stand up for their rights.
Palestinian children are particularly hard hit. Many have
killed and injured by Israeli forces. Israel has signed up
to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, but has failed
this protection on Palestinian children in the
West Bank. In contrast, Israeli children are protected - even
who live in illegal settlements near Janna.

Today, Janna stands out for her principled journalism for
Harassment and death threats. She won't give up. "I will
know what freedom means in my home country, what justice and what
Peace and equality means without encountering systematic racism ",
