International GWÖ Conference | 3rd-5th June 2024 in Leeuwarden, NL
The movement for the common good economy is organizing its 3rd scientific conference on sustainable economic models and their regional implementation together with two universities and a research institute in North Holland.
The search for future-proof, ecologically and socially sustainable economic models is in full swing. Six of the new planetary boundaries have been crossed, inequality is reaching new record highs, and democracy is on the defensive worldwide. What is now needed are economic models and practices that are part of the solution and enable sustainable ways of living, producing and consuming.
Following on from that Beyond Growth Conference in the EU Parliament in May 2023 with more than 2.000 participants on site and at least as many in the live stream is organized by the internationally growing movement of the common good economy June 3rd to 5th their 3rd international scientific conference - after 2019 at the University of Bremen and 2022 at the University of Valencia, now in the northern Dutch city of Leeuwarden, together with the two of them Universities Groningen and NHL Stenden as well as the Wetsus Research Institute.
The focus of the conference is on sustainable economic models, their convergence and interaction. The conference is divided into theory (day 1), sustainable practices (day 2) and regional implementation (day 3).
