As the light in the cinema lights up again, there is a depressing silence in the hall. That was a nice contrast to the loud movie, which rolled over you with its roar and roar.
Benni, a nine-year-old girl played by Helena Zenger, has white-blond hair, ice-blue eyes, and bruises all over her body. If you look at the girl while lying on the cot on the bed with the doctor, you first think: She looks like an angel. Her loud roar is clearly a cry for help, for her overwhelmed mother she can not take to her home and her two other children.
Nora Fingscheidt, the director, wants to criticize with their award-winning film neither the facilities and their troubled carers, nor the desperate mother and certainly not the often aggressive girl - instead she wants, so Fingscheidt, that more attention to the system and before everything is focused on Systemsprenger.
