Private energy transition: Austrians motivated

"86 percent of Austrians experience the recent weather extremes with snow and drought records as a wake-up call to start with the private energy transition. Almost 40 percent are even convinced that time is running out in the energy transition. "

These are the results of the “Energie-Trendmonitor Österreich 2019” survey, for which 1000 Austrians were interviewed representative of the population on behalf of Stiebel Eltron.

"Our study shows that a good 90 percent of Austrians want to switch to climate-friendly heating technology," says Thomas Mader, managing director of the house and system technology manufacturer Stiebel Eltron. “For many, however, the change is too expensive. Two thirds of consumers are calling for strong government funding to switch to climate-friendly heating systems such as heat pump technology. "
