❗️Menschen für Menschen provides emergency aid against the spread of Covid-19 ?
The issue of 5.000 protective masks, 500 blankets and 2.000 bottles of disinfectant is the first life-saving measure that our colleagues in Addis Ababa were able to implement immediately this week. The material, worth around 15.000 euros, was given to the Mayor of Addis Ababa, Takele Uma Banti, to protect the people in the Ethiopian capital from the spread of Covid-19. Further distributions of relief goods - also in rural areas - are currently being prepared.
In addition, hygiene measures to contain diseases are an integral part of our work in rural project areas. Measures such as the provision of clean water or hand washing options at schools ensure that infectious diseases such as Covid-19 decrease and help to protect the health of people in the project regions in the long term.
