On September 17th, the first climate action day took place at the Windeck-Gymnasium in Bühl, during which pupils and teachers dealt with the topic of “climate”.

A total of more than 60 events were offered. In workshops, experiments and games, however, not only theoretical knowledge was imparted, but above all solutions and possibilities were developed together. The education team from Greenpeace Germany was also represented with several workshops and presented augmented reality teaching material on biodiversity for the first time. At a digital “World Climate Conference”, the Bühler students were also able to exchange ideas with young people from Mexico, South Africa, India and Japan about the effects of the climate crisis.

One of the high points of the day was the panel discussion on the subject of “Countering climate change”. In addition to Mayor Hubert Schnurr, Thekla Walter (Environment Minister) and Theresa Schopper (Education Minister) answered questions from the school's environmental mentors on site.
