Bruno Manser Fund
As a gesture of peace, Bruno Manser wanted to present a lamb to Chief Minister Taib Mahmud in 1998 during the Hajj Festival celebrations. By parachute jump, which he had practiced together with the pilot Ruedi Isenschmied, he wanted to hand over the lamb. Transparent in its preparation - Malaysia and the Chief Minister were informed in detail before the action - Bruno Manser was, however, discouraged from his gesture of reconciliation by precisely these people by refusing his lamb "Gumperli" to enter Singapore through diplomatic pressure.
