The Simien National Park in Ethiopia is a good example of how the protection of the habitat of animals can be achieved. The national park is home to numerous animal and bird species, such as the Ethiopian wolf.
After overuse by humans threatened the flora and fauna of the national park, numerous measures were taken to protect nature and its animal inhabitants. Today the Simien National Park focuses on sustainable ecotourism and not only offers the animals a protected environment, the people in the surrounding villages also get the chance of new income opportunities.
