EU-Mercosur poisons treaty: Why are pesticides back on our plates?
The poison treaty aims to make toxic chemical exports to the Mercosur countries (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay) even more lucrative. These include pesticides that are not permitted in the EU because they are highly toxic. Some of the pesticides come back to us on imported food - for example on limes, mangoes and papayas.

The problem on the ground is even worse: Pesticides poison the environment, the rivers in the Amazon rainforest and are dangerous for the local people!
The EU-Mercosur trade deal is…
poison for the climate,
poison for the amazon,
Poison for our food!
