Flatpacked Forests: Ikea's illegal timber problem & the flawed green label behind it


DISCOVERED: IKEA sources illegal wood from Ukraine for the production of some of its best-selling chairs. Despite publicly known violations of national forest laws, the wood received the FSC seal of approval. This is shown by 18 months of research by the British NGO Earthsight. IKEA must assume its responsibility as the market leader and support urgently needed reforms of the FSC system.
