Following the online film screening: “The Story of Plastic”, experts from business, NGOs and science delved deeper into the topic and examined the plastic problem from different perspectives. Univ. Prof. Dr. Gerhard Herndl, head of the research platform “PLENTY Plastic in the Environment and Society” at the University of Vienna, Dorothea Wiplinger, Sustainability & Project STOP Manager at Borealis AG, Dipl.-Ing. Olivia Padalewski, spokesperson for Zero Waste Austria and Dipl.-Ing. Lena Steger, GLOBAL 2000 plastics expert.
There was also more detailed information about the current plastic campaign of GLOBAL 2000 and the associated petition “Deposit on it! Stop the one-way waste ”for the introduction of a deposit system in Austria. The petition can be signed here: https://www.global2000.at/pfand-drauf
