The EU supports our commitment to the protection of the Forest Carpathians! Last Friday, MEP Viola von Cramon told the Ukrainian Ministry of the Environment that the EU was closely monitoring a planned mega-project in the Forest Carpathians. The Bruno Manser Fund and Ukrainian environmentalists informed several MEPs at the end of January about the impending destruction of Europe's last beech forests by illegal logging and infrastructure projects.
