Greenpeace Germany turns 40! If you want to know how a small citizens' initiative turned into a large environmental movement, then listen to our podcast series “Now even more”.
Our knowledge of the condition of our environment is greater than ever today. But how do we actually get from knowledge to action? Educational work has been an important part of Greenpeace from the very beginning. And since 2010 Greenpeace Germany has not only been providing extracurricular, but also school educational work. The main thing is to think about topics in a coherent way: environmental awareness and sustainability, innovation and digitization, topicality and education. These topics are dealt with within the organization, especially by the education team, in order to make this knowledge accessible to children and young people and to identify options for action. In this podcast episode, Katarina Roncevic and Dietmar Kress also explain how large commercial enterprises influence our education and how important it is to create a counter-offer to the economized educational materials.

Greenpeace is an international environmental organization that works with non-violent actions to protect livelihoods. Our goal is to prevent environmental degradation, change behaviors, and implement solutions. Greenpeace is non-partisan and completely independent of politics, parties and industry. More than half a million people in Germany donate to Greenpeace, thereby ensuring our daily work to protect the environment.
