Opponents of the initiative against factory farming say it is unnecessary because there is no factory farming in Switzerland. In Switzerland, 83 million livestock are killed every year. Most of the animals live in "conventional husbandry" as in these pictures. Such housing conditions are the norm. This is factory farming.
Opponents of the initiative against factory farming say it is unnecessary because there is no factory farming in Switzerland.
In Switzerland, 83 million livestock are killed every year.
Most of the animals live in "conventional husbandry" as in these pictures. Such housing conditions are the norm. This is factory farming. The pictures come from three companies that supply Migros and Coop.
As long as retailers offer large quantities of cheap meat, animals will have to live like this.
We can change that if we vote YES to the Factory Farming Initiative on September 25th.
