Woodside Energy's seismic blasting for gas could deafen whales

No Description

Woodside Energy is preparing for seismic detonations near whale migration routes in Western Australia.

Seismic blasting uses underwater air cannons to shoot powerful sound waves at the sea floor to locate fossil fuel deposits. The noise is louder than that of a jet plane and can seriously damage the whales' hearing. A deaf whale is a dead whale.

We cannot allow Woodside to endanger whales just to extract more climate-damaging gas.
