What do water and education actually have to do with each other? 🧐
A look at our project regions shows: A lot!
In Ethiopia it is mostly women and girls who are responsible for fetching water for their families. This activity often takes many hours a day: the women and girls often have to travel long and arduous journeys to get to the often heavily polluted water points.
A well near the village gives the women valuable time to attend school, study or take part in further training courses.
