Can we consciously influence our political orientation?

CONTRIBUTION IN ORIGINAL LANGUAGE

Political orientations. A controversial topic in American society. Today there are two main groups of political ideologies among conservatives and liberals. Nobody can be exclusively one of them, but when someone leans more to one of these sides, it connects with some basic characteristics. Liberals are known as open-minded, flexible people who often seem like they are just living their lives, while conservatives prefer the structure and want to keep things as they are. So you don't like change. There have been many studies of the differences in these political leanings, but where do we get these habits from?

Many psychologists and analysts say that our worldview is influenced from the day we are born. From childhood we learn how to behave properly from our parents and some role models such as celebrities. They show us the world from their perspective and usually children have many central ethnic attitudes and worldviews. Often times, the first decade of our lives is crucial to our understanding of right and wrong.

So if personal experiences and your surroundings have a huge impact on your ideology, are there physical differences too? A group of scientists found that there is actually a biological difference between the brain of a conservative and a liberal. It turned out that the agdamygdala, the part of the brain responsible for processing anxiety and fear, is very active in conservative brains, while the most active part of the liberal brain is the anterior circulating cortex, which is used for understanding and Monitoring of conflicts contributes. In addition, the results of some tests have shown that there is an enormous contrast between these ideologies in dealing with pain. In general, while liberals are more likely to cry over horrific images, people tend to be more conservative when they're scared. Scientists suggest that around 30% of our political orientation is anchored in our genes.

In summary, your priorities and ideologies are likely to be dictated in part by your genes, as is your political orientation. No matter how many liberals you surround yourself with, you will actually always talk a little past each other because your genes are more conservative. What do you think about it? Do you believe the scientists? Can you imagine that there is a biological background to hearing Trump or Clinton's political speeches? I look forward to your thoughts in the comments!
