Between August 2019 and July 2020, 9,5% more area in the Amazon was destroyed than in the previous year. In total, that's 11.099 square kilometers of forest area! Just burned down like that.

The worst thing is: the fires are set willfully. For us here in Europe. For the cultivation of the products that we consume here. For short-term economic interests, Bolsonaro & Co. accept long-term consequences. We can stop that! The EU must create a strong law that will finally stop the import of these environmentally harmful products. So we are destroying Bolsonaro's main reason for destroying the Amazon.
