With our products we want to make a contribution to a good life for everyone. A good life includes good food, good food needs good salt. Our brand KHOYSAN stands for tasty salt in its purest natural form and wholeness and is based on a long-term, fair partnership with salt farmers on the west coast of South Africa. There, the water for salt production - not directly from the sea into the salt garden, as is customary in sea salt production - comes from an old, subterranean seawater lake that is free from today's pollution of the oceans. The careful harvest and further processing of the salt by hand, without the use of machines and energy, is environmentally friendly and creates jobs with good working conditions and fair wages, which secures around 30 families for a living.
