Tire wear is a big problem for people and nature

Did you know that tire wear is the biggest polluter of microplastics in the environment, including the oceans, with 1,3 million tons a year in Europe?

“This includes highly toxic heavy metals, endocrine disruptors and other, sometimes acutely toxic, substances. (...) After these substances are released into the environment, processes that are completely uncontrollable and harmful to living beings take place within minutes, sometimes over years and centuries ”, according to a broadcast by the“ Verkehrswende ”initiative.

As a first immediate measure, the broadcasters demand from politics to stop building new roads immediately: “Federal politics should also force the exit from the expansion of the road transport network at EU level and the path towards mobility that is actually appropriate to people, the environment and the climate level. "

If you want to support the initiative, come here to Petition stop road construction.
