The Earth Prize: global competition for young people

The Earth Prize is a global competition for young people on the topic of ecological sustainability, advertised by The Earth Foundation

Young people between the ages of 13 and 19 can participate individually or in groups of up to 5 students. Participants must be assigned an adult supervisor in order to register. Valid supervisors are teachers or school administrators. Any new solution that aims to accelerate the transition to environmental sustainability can be submitted.

Those who take part receive a wide range of support: “Mentoring by students and guidance from sustainability experts and change makers gives young people the opportunity to develop and expand their ideas while they acquire important, practical skills,” the organizers are convinced .

The winning team and school will receive a $ 100.000 award for environmental projects. The three schools that make it to the finals will each receive a $ 25.000 award. The remaining $ 25.000 will be divided equally between two award winners: one to the Earth Prize Mentor of the Year and the other to the Earth Prize Educator of the Year.
