On August 9, 2021, Greenpeace Australia Pacific launched 'Te Mana o te Moana: the State of the Climate in the Pacific 2021' in collaboration with Griffith University's Climate Action Beacon.
Join a group of researchers and activists at this online event who provided the latest analysis on how the world is progressing on the goals of the Paris Agreement and stories of Pacific islanders at the forefront of the battle for their communities and the planet .
"Te Mana o te Moana: The State of the Climate in the Pacific 2021" shows why the world must make plans to reduce emissions in order to keep the heating below 1,5 degrees as quickly as possible. And it shows why Australia, as a major emitter and major power in the Pacific, has a special leadership responsibility.
