Sustainable Travel | Book It Green (at least)

Made with Love in Berlin & Vienna

It's the semester break and you are already thinking about going away. But (at least the conscious person) terms like overtourism, CO2 emissions, you have demonstrating residents and every document in your head that rightly denounces mass tourism, because it either turns the resident's city into a rubbish ruin or (and mostly - and & also) raises prices in such a way that life in one's own city becomes unaffordable. And these are definitely not the only problems that tourism brings with it today.

Well, if you are also willing to avoid the so-called “hotspots”, there is another aftertaste that accompanies you: that of the ecological imprint of a trip. The influence of the vacation industry on the emission of climate-damaging gases is not information that will hit us until 2019. So the questions that should definitely be asked in 2019: What footprint does my desire to travel really leave. Is my trip sustainable, how far away does it actually have to be, which means of transport do I choose, which criteria apply at all (inside and outside the resort), what is gentle tourism and and and ... who is good ... who is harmed ...

Now my tip for a small overview and also to book a sustainable holiday, after an assessment of how many criteria are actually met: is today once: bookitgreen.com

If you know even good accommodations that meet the criteria (see homepage), you can also send his recommendation to bookitgreen.com: https://bookitgreen.typeform.com/to/l28A60

Also partners and supporters are sought worldwide (currently I think the partners are first in Europe)

In any case, I find the idea, which incidentally originated in Berlin and Vienna, great and I would be happy, especially when there is holiday time, more bookings in places, by and with people who appreciate their environment and with their own journey, want to do as little damage as possible. And at the same time treat yourself and your loved one to a relaxing holiday with added value.
