The Grätzloase is an initiative that is being implemented jointly by the City of Vienna and the association Lokale Agenda 21 Wien. The action program Grätzloase supports all Viennese who want to design and use the public space with creative actions. City dwellers should become city dwellers. The program is also intended to create places of encounter that promote cooperation in Grätzl.
A green oasis, a place to stay, a meeting place for gossiping and playing cards - all this can be achieved with the action program Grätzloase. A Grätzloase is a parklet: a small park or seating area set up in parking lots. Especially in inner-city districts, where green spaces are scarce, parklets fulfill an important function.
Grätzloases invite you to linger, get to know each other, do handicrafts, read, play - and also represent a consumption-free public space. In 2018 there were 44 parklets in Vienna that enlivened the public space and enriched living together in the neighborhood - and with your support it will soon be more!
