Terrible photos from two slaughterhouses in Lower Austria not only show the terrible torture of animals, but also the systematic failure of the authorities.
According to the law, ritual slaughtering may only take place in the presence of a control organ and with immediate anesthesia after the bleeding cut.

Plant 1 in the Korneuburg district: Veterinarians can be seen in the videos for a few hours in the morning on two days. However, the slaughter continues until the evening.
In the absence of the control organs, the sheep are killed without any stunning.

Plant 2 in the district of Wr. Neustadt: There is never a control body in the videos here. Most animals are stunned, but some are too late.

The VGT and RespekTiere have reported against the companies and the responsible control bodies.
