Sky spectacle with side effects

WHAT IS INSTALLED OVER OUR HEADS

The front pages of the daily press raved about the sky spectacle of the Starlink satellites' chain of lights

Unfortunately, the business purpose of the SpaceX company was not mentioned at all. These satellites are intended to enable 5G "supply" from space. This means that we then also get microwave transmitters over our heads. In addition to the already existing transmission masts, the planned transmitters and all the transmission and reception units of the announced "Internet of Things", there should also be 15.000 transmitting satellites from orbit at altitudes of 340 to 550 km....

These satellites should also enable Internet access in inaccessible areas. But at what price?

The whole thing devours huge sums of money with dubious economic benefits. The number of paying Internet customers, for example in deserts, is likely to be extremely small. It is also not expedient to give people in the 3rd world Internet access via satellite because the fees here are so high that they cannot afford it anyway.

Because of the satellites, we also have radiation sources with 23 GHz above our heads. The Starlink satellites are interfering with weather services and GPS.

Due to the enormous increase in satellites, the risk of collisions is also growing, and starlink has doubled the number of near-collisions. So it's only a matter of time before the crash occurs. As a result, the amount of risky space debris above our heads continues to increase:..

In addition, the rockets used for this purpose, due to their vertical trajectory, punch veritable holes in the ionosphere and in the atmosphere due to the shock waves created...

The ever-increasing electromagnetic pollution from digital radio technology - now also from orbit - has effects on the electromagnetic field of our earth, such as disturbances in the ionosphere & magnetosphere, damage to the ozone layer, increased permeability for solar storms & UV radiation, climate changes, etc. – This has obvious consequences for all life on this planet!

A small team of Norwegian researchers led by Einar Flydal and Else Nordhagen have produced a comprehensive study on this:

Tens of thousands of planned satellites threaten the basis of life on earth

INTERNATIONAL APPEAL
Stop 5G on Earth and in Space

The effect of the microwaves emitted by the satellites can affect the ionosphere, so reactive oxygen species (free radicals) can form there, which can have unexpected effects.

How a small village is resisting this mega project

In Saint-Senier-de-Beuvron, the 356 inhabitants have the feeling that space is falling on their heads. In their nest of all places, Elon Musk has a French company buy up fallow land to build a relay station for his cosmic telecom system.

The municipal council, which does not want to raise any media dust and does not receive any journalists, refused the building permit after consultation with the residents. Starlink is not wanted here. Elon Musk will undoubtedly appeal the decision to a higher authority.

Because of a few unruly Gauls, the currently richest man in the world does not give up his global broadband network. Anne-Laure Falguières doesn't actually see herself as stubborn at all. “We have nothing against progress, we work with the Internet ourselves. Thanks to the fiber optic cable in the street above, we even have a fast connection,” says the producer of honey, apple juice, eggs and vegetables. "Who knows, maybe that's even the reason the relay station is planned here."

Green regional politician François Dufour says that facts are once again being created before the health consequences are clear. “We want to know whether the new technology has an impact on humans and animals. But the more questions you ask, the fewer answers you get.”

Dufour's criticism isn't just about Starlink. In France, the number of cancer patients has been rising steadily for the past five years, says the retired farmer who worked near Saint-Senier. “But we carry on in the pandemic as if nothing happened while Normandy is robotized with mobile antennas. More than ten thousand satellites for Elon Musk's project alone - imagine that!" Dufour rants on the phone to castigate the "loss of planetary immunity". Dufour does not say that other satellite networks such as Amazon, OneWeb or Telesat will be launched.

But can the village of Saint-Senier-de-Beuvron stop the course of events? "The satellite operators will look for ways and detours to ignore this," predicts Dufour. "After all, this village is definitely a grain of sand in the gears of this crazy mega-project."

Promises made by the operators of the satellite Internet turn out to be pure advertising promises

All the promises made by the operators of the "Internet from orbit", such as SpaceX, OneWeb, etc., turn out to be air numbers on closer inspection. Censorship in authoritarian countries cannot be circumvented with satellites, nor can underdeveloped areas be connected to the Internet, the people there simply cannot afford the receivers and the fees. In metropolitan areas there are significantly cheaper options for connecting to the web. At best, affluent customers who live in remote regions benefit from this system...
