The need for climate and environmental protection and the efficient use of resources with regard to the current climate and environmental situation is essential. The CO2 emissions caused by “modern” people are high. The streets are full. The search for innovative solutions to overcome these challenges is in full swing. A key word here is a “sharing economy”. In local transport, the catchphrase is “taxi sharing”, “ride sharing” or “car pool”.
Mobility is one of the biggest challenges around the world. For the common good, it is of great interest to offer people new opportunities to cut costs and reduce CO2. Our streets are becoming increasingly crowded and the air is worse, here taxi sharing offers a new opportunity in local transport, ie a passenger shares a taxi with other passengers (mostly unknown people) who drive in the same direction. It can be fun to meet new people!
Shared taxi services are not new and are often practiced informally. Drivers take other passengers traveling in the same direction as they bring a passenger to their destination. Sharing the tariff with friends is nothing new. The organization is a challenge.
The practical implementation of taxi sharing for everyone offers new opportunities through the advent of mobile apps and new technologies.
With the new shaaxi app, passengers can very easily show their willingness to share a journey with other passengers. Shaaxi does the rest, corresponding passengers are automatically “matched” about departure time, place of departure and destination, who will then simply agree on the common journey via chat. The taxi can be ordered directly via the app. The fare is simply divided by the number of passengers found. Shaaxi takes over the matching function! Much emphasis was placed on usability and simplicity (kepp it simple and smart ;-).
