Two animal rights activists spent 24 hours on real fully slatted floors. Their experiences were clear: painful and extremely uncomfortable. Pigs have skin that is just as sensitive as humans. Nevertheless, the majority of pigs in Austria are kept exclusively on hard, fully slatted concrete floors.
