SDG+GLG 17 – Synergy through active partnership

Higher purpose:
“To bring alive SDG+GLG 17 by fostering synergies and fruitful cooperation for mutual benefits and the greater use of purposeful communication in one's own and other communities.”

The conceptual approach of INITIATIVE2030 is fundamentally based on the thought/idea that through acting in partnership in accordance with SDG+GLG 17 and with the help of (professional) Communication, a sustainable one information transfer can take place, the own success as well as the Success another promotes and at the same time the Achievement of the SDGs+GLGs decisively supports.

This approach, in turn, stems from the conviction that it requires a joint effort and (partially) altruistic attitude on the part of those actors who have more resources (and thus have the choice to act collectively and profitably in the first place!) in order to use them anyway very tight "race against time" (until 2030...?) to save our planet and the global societies living on it.

So it demands an unconditional solidarity between business/politics and the population, on a regional and global level; for a pooling of everyone's strengths in order to achieve restorative economic and social forms as quickly as possible - we believe.

Two assumptions, two theoretical approaches and two basic questions

Assumption I:

More public notoriety and in-depth knowledge about the content of the 17 UN goals (SDGs + GLGs) promotes awareness-raising in the economy and population or in society.

Theoretical approach:

Effectively communicated information about sustainability promotes knowledge (in terms of understanding the term) and shapes our thinking. Thinking is the basis of our consciousness, which in turn directs our (responsible) actions.

QUESTION 1.

How can we jointly communicate the contents of both UN target programs adequately in terms of raising awareness in order to effectively support responsible action - internally and externally - in our communities (i.e. partners, customers, suppliers... = population)?

 Assumption II:

The mutual networking of the communities and partnership support for the creation of new synergies, leads to concrete and non-material benefits for everyone involved and to a valid one added value in society

Theoretical approach:

As sustainable network partners, our capital is not only our products and/or services, but also existing partnerships and contacts. Conscious and targeted commitment to making these networks and communities usable through informative communication about supplementary offers from other sustainable companies enables the development of new business areas among each other. Instead of competitive thinking, synergy arises in the sense of SDG+GLG 17. The sustainable added value in society arises automatically, since more information about sustainable companies is communicated and made known. This in turn promotes sustainable options for action in the population, enables alternative decisions and responsible lifestyles.

QUESTION 2.

How can we support each other in a spirit of partnership to effectively communicate sustainable areas of action and business in the communities and to inform them about the added value for society as a whole?

So what can we do together - also motivated by an ethical service concept for our own community - to provide the population with more responsible options for action and decision-making alternatives?

We will continue to ask ourselves and you these and similar questions in the future as the “Association for Sustainable Communication”!

The “INITIATIVE2030 – live the goals”

....pursues two specific goals as a sustainability platform.

GOAL 1: To convey the real meaning of "sustainability" to the public in a comprehensible and compact way by communicating and disseminating the 17 global "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs for short), which were ratified by 2015 UN countries in 193 to bring closer. At the same time, the INITIATIVE2030 platform communicates the so-called 17 "Goals of the Good Life" (GLGs for short), which represent the realistic equivalent of the SDGs and are clearly compared with them. The GLGs, which are completely unknown to the general public, describe simple, sustainable action guidelines for people in their everyday lives to support the achievement of the SDGs. See: www.initiative2030.eu/goals

GOAL 2: Every 1-2 months, one of the 17 SDG+GLGs will be the focus of attention on the INITIATIVE2030 platform. Based on these individual sustainability topics, best-practice examples from the initiative’s constantly growing organic community (currently around 170 partners) will be the focus. The partners (companies, projects, organizations, but also individuals) are presented in different formats on the INITIATIVE2030 website and also on social media. In this way, the actors of lived sustainability are to be brought in front of the curtain and successful "sustainability stories" are to be shared with one another via the social media channels of the INITIATIVE2030 (and also the partners!).
