On July 12, 2021, the Greenpeace “Schools for Earth” team was a guest at the Ernst Reuter School in Karlsruhe. Together with the students of the Klima-AG and thanks to the support of the caretaker and the school management, we were able to complete the climate balance sheet for the Ernst Reuter School and find climate hotspots during a climate check tour through the school building, the opportunity for further climate protection measures Offer.

Headmaster Micha Pallesche describes Education for Sustainable Development as a “secret curriculum” that has to lie like a foundation under all lessons and also the extracurricular initiatives. “Schools for Earth” offers a concrete implementation project for this.

“Schools for Earth” is a climate school project by Greenpeace with which all schools in Germany can set off towards climate neutrality and more sustainability.
